7 Fun (and Safe!) Things To Do for Halloween

Fall is here! With Halloween right around the corner, I’m sure you’re wondering how you can make the most of this quarantined holiday. We’ve got you covered with a list of some joyful things you can do, while being as safe as possible amidst the pandemic!

1. Go to a socially distanced fall festival

Feeling like you’re missing out on the true fall vibe this year? Check out this list of 22 Best Fall Festivals across the country that are open with COVID-19 precautions to keep you safe. Enjoy pumpkin contests, apple picking and even taco trucks at these festivals.

2. Carve and decorate pumpkins

Go to your local grocery store, or even your local pumpkin patch (with a mask, please!) and pick out some pumpkins. Grab some carving tools or paint and get to work on those pumpkins. Get some candles as well to light them up for decoration. Here’s an awesome list of some easy, but unique ways to decorate your pumpkins that will make you look like a professional pumpkin carver.

3. Pick apples at a local orchard

One of the best ways to celebrate the fall season is to go apple picking. It’s a simple, but nostalgic way to spend a fall weekend. Go to a local orchard to enjoy the tons and tons of apples, while enjoying some cider and the crisp fall air.

4. Make some spooky treats

Want to get in the Halloween spirit in the kitchen, while also making use of all those apples you just picked?! Make some cute and spooky fall treats. From ghost s'mores dip to caramel apples, this list gives you the cutest and simplest Halloween dessert ideas.

5. Have a Halloween movie night

One of the best ways to indulge in Halloween is to watch some of the most classic Halloween movies. From Hocus Pocus to Nightmare on Elm Street to Beetlejuice, there are plenty of movies to keep you entertained for a perfect spooky night. Bring the Halloween desserts too!

6. Find a haunted forest trail

If you’re up for it, find a local haunted forest trail. With COVID eliminating the possibility of a safe haunted house, go for a haunted trail that is socially distanced and outside. This will give you all the Halloween spooks you’re looking for, while keeping you safe!

7. Join a virtual costume contest with Drunk Yoga®
